Growing up I struggled a lot with my self-confidence and esteem. I tended to be quite shy when meeting new people and would keep to myself. I would study those around me to see what the best way to fit in was. I was always worried about whether I would be liked or not. I learned to become a chameleon and adapt myself to fit in with whoever I was with to relieve the internal stress I had created for myself.  I created this series of hand mirrors to communicate how I felt in situations where I was mimicking other personalities since I had not yet created my own. In turn I do believe that our personality changes with our growth and alters depending on who we surround ourselves with. Acceptance in a basic human want and need and we will change for it.
